About me

I help universities and nonprofits leverage their limited marketing resources to grow their impact.

The freelance bug first bit me in the fall of 2015 when an agency I interned with asked me to continue writing for them. Extra income doing cool projects with cool people? I was hooked.

In the years that followed, former colleagues in various industries came to me as a go-to source for copywriting and marketing strategy support.

While taking on freelance assignments, I continued to hone my ability to bridge marketing silos, navigate organizational challenges, and maximize limited resources as an in-house writer and strategist. It built my confidence to step fully out on my own in May 2023.

Strong relationships are the heart of successful collaboration. I love to get to know you, commiserate your challenges, and celebrate your wins!

The work we do together should serve a purpose. I’ll always steer you toward the most impactful strategies and tactics, keeping the strengths and limitations of your organization in mind.

Holding space for people to be their full selves is central to how I move through my personal and professional life. We’ll interact, collaborate, and share openly and thoughtfully.

I’m that weird friend who always has *another* side project going every few weeks. Flipping between mediums helps me stay inspired and move through creative blockages. Here are just a few of them.

Creative nonfiction and poetry are my favorite genres, and both influence my approach to other types of writing. I’ve had several pieces published in various literary journals.

I started taking pictures with disposable Kodaks as a toddler. Fortunately, my camera skills have evolved considerably since then (thank you, college art minor). I worked briefly as a freelance photographer in my early 20s, but ultimately decided I liked this medium best as a hobby.
